Using our A+ energy label stoves, you already are on the right way. Can you get more heat our of your wood? Yes you can !
In order to get the best out of your Gamera rocket heater, we have a few guidelines and tips.
First and foremost, use seasoned wood. Seasoned wood, or dry wood gives the best efficient and smokeless fire.
If you use wood that is slightly wet cut last summer, the moisture contend is mostly between 28-35%.
If you let it dry, you can get as low as 17% moisture or even a bit less. Now the difference,
the dryer wood in this example gives double the heat from the wetter wood.
So leave it to dry, and you will burn half the amount of wood.

Most rocket stove heaters are used as rocket stove mass heaters.
Why?
Rocket stoves burn all smoke, soot and creosote. So, only water vapor and CO² will go in the chimney.
Normal stoves, even the good ones, produce some soot, smoke and creosote This will clog your chimney in time and is a dangerous fire hazard in time and that is why you should not attach them to a mass. That is why they have a high exhaust temp, to keep from condensation in your chimney.
Because rocket stoves have a clean burn, you can attach them to a mass. In theory, the gasses will still exit your chimney at 55 Celsius, and leave no residu at all.
So you can attach your Gamera rocket heater to a nice loam bench that will heat your house for hours. Or how about a double wall?
